We are Pet Proactive and we provide local pet insurance in the UK.

This means we partner with outstanding independent vets to provide pet insurance for their loyal customers - simple, fair pet insurance for treatment and referrals through your vet.

2. Why we need information from your vet

Our pet insurance prices are tailored to your local vet practice - we use information they hold about your pets to provide your prices.

Your vet practice needs your permission before they will release your personal information to us. If you give permission, they will share your name and contact details and your pets details including information about their treatments. This is shared once for the sole purpose of providing you with prices for pet insurance.

Pet Proactive will use this data only for the purposes of providing you with insurance prices. We will not share your personal data with anyone else and if you decide not to take out a policy with us, we will delete any data no longer than one month after your last visit to our website.

3. Providing permission

There are four ways to provide Pet Proactive with permission to access your personal information from your vet practice.

1. If you received an email message from your vet practice inviting you to receive prices for pet insurance, you can give your permission by clicking on the link in the email and then clicking on the 'I CONSENT' button and we will display prices for eligible pets registered with your vet.
2. If you received a text message from your vet practice inviting you to receive prices for pet insurance, you can give your permission by replying 'OK' and we will reply with prices for the eligible pets registered with your vet.
3. You can click on the pink QUOTE button in the top right of this screen, select your vet practice and follow the steps to access your prices.
4. If you need some help or would prefer to talk to one of our friendly UK team, you can call us on 0208 142 9268. Our telephone line is open from 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday, and from 09:00 to 13:00 on Saturday.

If you decide you do not want to share your name, contact details and pet details with us then unfortunately we will not be able to provide your with an insurance quote.
